Zahire is a traditional organic product shop chain, produced in an artisan way.

Zahire launched in early 2018 with the first single store at “Wilson Square” followed by a second store at Residence “Kodra e Diellit” 1 . 

The idea of creating this kind of activity came as a wish to support local farmers and more specifically the farm developed by Zahire’s creators in a place called “Livadhi I Çelos”, Pogradec.

-How safe are we for the products our market offers and what we choose for our bodies?

This question has been the key point that has led us to open the store.

Zahire has chosen the daily basket of village products as fresh milk from Jersey cow, a breed that has gained popularity from high-end milk production of 5.5% to 7% fat. This milk is great for processing and making home-made yogurt, sauce and cottage cheese.

Farm birds breed in nature, which is fed in a free state on insects, seeds, grass, roots, flowers, and fruits, and eggs are an important source of protein.

Zahire’s organic products are the result of cultivating land free of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and toxic drugs, traditionally produced and in sustainable ways, without genetic modifications.

-Where do you get the bread from?

Zahire Organic Market, where you will find grandmother’s bread with wheat flour, corn, oats and rye, farm-made bread baked with her own dough.

Zahire on its shops offers a variety of vegetables and pickles, including cabbage peppers, cabbage tomatoes, beetroot pickles, cabbage, cabbage, and broccoli.

All of us find ourselves in the sweetness of fruits especially when they are turned into compote or marmalade. A great alternative to accompany a slice of wheat bread or to sweeten up friends when they come to pay a visit.

In Zahire you will find varieties of marmalade of cherry, plum, and fig, as well as various compotes produced by the villagers of the Tushemisht area.

Also from “Livadhi I Çelos” are offered grape and mulberry raki, flower honey and chestnut honey.
